TigerRose Karaoke Entertainment

We've been busy this summer.
Along with the regular Friday and Saturday night karaoke gigs, we do Weddings, Receptions, Birthday parties and Private parties with and without themes.
In July we had 3 private parties, including a 4th of July blowout! Complete with fireworks and crazy patriots manning the pyrotechnics!
At one point, I thought they were gonna get me, but they missed and hit the porch instead. After some of the guests put the fire out, I started the music up again.
Yup, they missed and I'm still thanking God.

Everythings going well and I didn't think it could get any better.

Then August came and we've done 2 crazy parties, so far.

A bachelorette party with two beautiful male strippers, very good and very tasteful. To their credit they didn't chase any females around - They waited for the interested women to come to them. Then gave special attention to the women waving money. While Alana got a lap dance, the other women looked on with envy and awe. The moves that man had, oooh! I've never seen the likes of that before. Alana's face gave it all away! Grinning ear to ear, chair dancing with glee, both hands firmly holding his tight buns......Oh Yeah, ;) She enjoyed it.
Later she stated it was the best twenty dollars she'd ever spent.
As the party wound down into the wee hours of the morning some of the ladies had their pictures taken with the near naked dancers, very sexy pictures, I might add. Everyone left smiling, including yours truly-no I didn't get any pictures taken.

At the Hawaiian Luau - with the whole clan dancing, I was encouraged to try some hula. I did great - hiding behind "big mamma" the whole time. Ha Ha! It was fun, the food was awesome, the music was heavenly. Big Mamma's really got some pipes, the whole family was encouraged to sing and helped when they deemed it necessary. We had some beautiful harmonies coming out of those microphones. This brought listeners from everywhere, it was all good, the audience was invited to join the party and clap loudly.

Friday and Saturday night karaoke at The Valley Pub is going strong.
With Fridays we've been really busy, lots of people, including an abundance of singers.
Yes, they are still dancing on the tables - what can I say, the girls enjoy showing off and the guys love watching or joining in on the gyrations. That gets interesting sometimes.
We have two bartenders on Friday nights now, that's how hot its been in there.
Saturday nights are as fun as Fridays and we get more songs in the rotation. We are still working it, having a great time and making new friends.

Come on in and join us one of these weekends.
More later.....

Tacoma Karaoke, Singing Karaoke, Dancing Karaoke,.....

It's May already, where does the time go?
In March we continued karaoke at the Valley Pub, as usual, but,
there were a few really good dance songs that came to our attention.

Along with Bartender -Rico - who, as you already know, dances on the bar, and sings "Purple Rain", to the absolute delight of our female customers.
We have started table dancing.

The dance songs are amazing when they're playing and the pub turns into a club. Energy is amplified while everybody gets a mischievous smile on their faces! Definately me, I love it!
We've got the party bumpin' and the crowd is moving! Girls,... Guys,... those that aren't dancing are enjoying the show!

I'll warn the dancers and warm up the crowd with "Cyclone" by T-pain and Baby Dash, (the tables start getting cleared off for the next song) then roll into "Lollipop" by Lil Wayne, (this one gets the ladies going) and they start climbing on the table strutting their stuff!
The big one that we all love is "Low" by Flo Rida featuring T-pain, it's got a great beat and the "club" goes wild!
If everyone's into it big time, I'll pop on the "Cha Cha slide", otherwise known as the "Casper Slide" so they can groove to that.
We've been doing this for six weekend's now and they've been asking for it every weekend -so I guess we'll continue for as long as the tables last.
I've been adding new songs, Shakira's a good one, they like "Hip's don't lie" and try to out-dance each other.
Some of these moves can't even be shown on cable TV!
Last night we had "V" get so low she was "X-rated" -the guys couldn't stop talking & smiling about it and I've had several e-mails asking me to get her to do it again, but, on the table this time. (Gee, maybe "V's" life calling is dancing, she's got a lot of fans!)

We had a great Karaoke Meetup last weekend, with wonderful singers, great entertainers, and table dancers, they sang, we danced. We got to meet people who were previously only Characters on our computers and spend 4 hours getting to know and appreciate each other in person. What a great night! I know we've got pictures-http://karaoke.meetup.com/200/photos/ (Don't know if they're updated yet though, so keep checking back, just in case they're not.)

We've had 5 Tacoma Karaoke Meetups since my last post! Wow! We've met at Lil Vic's, The Oak Tree, The Valley Pub, Gloria's & Charley's - and still looking for more places to meet and have fun. If your looking for a relaxed place to be accepted and party, you can come and join us- http://karaoke.meetup.com/200/ or create your own party, hire a DJ/KJ and get it going- http://tigerroz.com either way we'll have a good time!

Now on My Second Weekend at Ida's.............

So, I start the music, we've got the karaoke rolling and they start bugging me to sing a song. Yeah, okay, fine, just let me find a gap in the singers and I'll sing something. Finally, after about 20 minutes of waiting and non-stop karaoke singers, Reg, decides he wants to completely give up his next turn in the rotation, he says "you take that spot and sing us a song". Aw man, fine. So I put on "whenever, wherever" by Shakira, and take note of the people hanging over the ledges on either side of the stairs-Reg has told everyone, "She's gonna sing, come on down." The music has started, I start singing, I like the song so I get into it a little bit. The crowd is clapping, smiling and dancing. Then I made the huge mistake of singing to the wrong person.
I was having fun until then. This man jumps outta his chair and starts matching me move for move, now I'm stuck singing the song-I started laughing and trying to whip my hips around like Shakira does, you know. I forgot all about the audience, and was simply having fun with the song and dancing until this dude say's "sit down", pushes me into a chair and is gyrating like
a Chippendale (with clothes on, ok)! "I didn't know a man could move like that!" My song was on auto-pilot and mentally I was brain dead, zzzzzzzzzT! I couldn't look away and I knew my face showed that. Here I am siting in a chair, singing, with this man not two feet from my face, I couldn't back up because I was stuck in the chair. Nor could I stop smiling and the song wasn't even over yet!!! I forced myself to lean forward and push him away, so I could get up and finish my song. I finally looked over at my girlfriends who were just "dying" with laughter! Hmmph, some friends.
I finished my song to rousing applause, oh, the crowd just LOVED it, must have been some spectacle. Embarrassed the heck out of me - Geez, damn! Got scared out of my wits!
Maybe, I liked it a little bit, and I think that "brain dead" feeling might be what men feel when they see a pretty girl, or something. When I got my senses back, I realized that it probably was a good show. My girlfriends just said-(when they could stop laughing..) "You should have seen your face!" and "Rescue you, Hell no! It was too good to stop!" No pictures, thank God, but, they were talking about it all night. I even got a comment from the bartender-"Oh girl, you gotta do that again." Not for a while, dearie, not for a long while.
Needless to say, I will not sing that song with that man in the audience again. I'm still trying to figure out how he can move like that!
Hey, Reg, Thanks a lot Man, I mean really.

Flying Boots sings with the Best.

I played at the Flying Boots Tonight. I thought it was going to be a slow night, but, they showed me. Some of my regulars came to see me-You know you all make me better. I have to live up to my past shows (and my crazy reputation,) when you show up. Mr. Lonny, Mike & Mike2, Di, Larry-so good to see you!!! Keep coming and I'll keep singing. We started out with Larry, (from The Western R)who sang 3 songs in a row, then added Mike to the rotation. We were trying to get Donna to join in, but, that took some time. My Mom came and sang 1 song, I got to sing with her and I hope it broke the ice. I want Mom to come to the next Tacome Karaoke meetup and hang out with me. Maybe we can convince her to sing again. Everyone but, MOM stop reading now-skip the next sentence and start reading again.

ONLY MoM Can read this-(Thanks Mom, I was in a new place, all alone.....and you came and made me feel better.)

Okay everyone else can start reading here again-Dorothy is the bartender and she sings! She is a gem and helped me trememdously. Fred is the cook and he will stay and fix food until everyone is full. What a great guy. He was riding a teeny bike around the dance floor, I mean the bike is so small, he looked like he was levitating......amazing.

The karaoke went off well, even though the CAVS system "crashed" 3 times-Yeah, I just love those things.....um hmm. (give me my cdg's any day!) By 11pm the bar was full and folks were sitting with me in the restaurant area, we rolled that way until the end of the night, when Tary, Di and Larry sang the last songs of the night.
We never have enough time, everyone wants to sing more and more. Guess we'll have to do that next time.
